NCC recommends Mufti for Abu Dhabi Posted on 26/06/2007

The National Consultative Council (NCC) has stressed on the need to appoint a ‘Mufti' for the emirate of Abu Dhabi to avoid confusion arising out of multiple sources issuing ‘fatwas' in the emirate. Yesterday, the House made this proposal to the Executive Council's General Secretariat, which has referred the recommendation to the Sharia Judicial Department.

NCC holds meeting Posted on 24/04/2007
The National Consultative Council (NCC) held in Abu Dhabi yesterday the 10th meeting of its second ordinary session of the 16th legislative chapter.

The National Consultative Council (NCC) has urged the government to set a deadline for all vehicles in Abu Dhabi to switch over to eco-friendly fuel. The National Consultative Council (NCC) discussed in a session held here on Monday a number of issues of national interest and a set of proposals on cementing the infrastructure and health sector.
