 NCC recommends Mufti for Abu Dhabi

The National Consultative Council (NCC) has stressed on the need to appoint a ‘Mufti' for the emirate of Abu Dhabi to avoid confusion arising out of multiple sources issuing ‘fatwas' in the emirate. Yesterday, the House made this proposal to the Executive Council's General Secretariat, which has referred the recommendation to the Sharia Judicial Department.

 NCC holds meeting

The National Consultative Council (NCC) held in Abu Dhabi yesterday the 10th meeting of its second ordinary session of the 16th legislative chapter.
During the meeting, which was presided over by the NCC Chairman, Abdullah Al Masood, the council attested the minutes of the 9th meeting and approved a report from the municipalities and public amenities committee on trade malpractices after deliberating on the report.

 NCC demands switch over to eco-friendly fuel

The National Consultative Council (NCC) has urged the government to set a deadline for all vehicles in Abu Dhabi to switch over to eco-friendly fuel. At the NCC session presided over by Speaker Abdullah Al Masood yesterday, the members underlined the need for using the environment-friendly fuel in line with international standards to protect the environment.

The National Consultative Council - NCC-held yesterday at Al Hosn Place its second ordinary session of the 16th Legislative Chapter.

 NCC approves proposals on traffic, environment

The National Consultative Council (NCC) discussed in a session held here on Monday a number of issues of national interest and a set of proposals on cementing the infrastructure and health sector. Presided over by its Speaker Abdullah Al Massoud, the NCC ratified proposals on environment conservation, traffic safety and highway network and decided to refer the same to the House ad hoc committees for further study prior to submitting recommendations to the upcoming session on December 26.

 National Consultative Council discusses personal loans

The National Consultative Council, held its 9th meeting of the 1st ordinary session of the sixth legislative chapter under the chairmanship of its Speaker Abdullah Mohammed Al Masoud.  NCC calls for establishment of Central Traffic Authority

The National Consultative Council (NCC) on Monday proposed a metered parking system and one-way roads in the heart of the capital to help solve Abu Dhabi's traffic problems. The proposal was made in a report reviewed at yesterday's meeting. UAE nationals will from now on be able to communicate directly and interact with the Abu Dhabi Consultative Council, ADCC, though a bilingual website. Citizens will also be able to submit proposals, complaints and give their opinions.
