Dubai has not looked back since the accession of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on January 4, 2006.

President issues law setting up Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority Posted on 21/12/2008
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a law setting up an accountability body for Abu Dhabi.
The main goal of the new entity is to increase accountability and transparency in Abu Dhabi government agencies and business units in which the government has a substantial interest.

President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a number of federal laws and decrees.
Sheikh Khalifa issued a federal law No. 6/2008, establishing a national council for tourism and antiquities.

The Government is to begin issuing passports embedded with microchips containing biometric data to Emiratis in a little over 12 months.
Gen Matar Salem bin Mesayed, the director of the information systems department at the Ministry of Interior, said the Government had decided to implement the project to comply with international security standards.
