Art sculpture ‘Tolerance’ unveiled in Abu Dhabi Posted on 08/12/2008
T.O.L.E.R.A.N.C.E., the first permanent public art sculpture created for Abu Dhabi, was unveiled in front of the Amiri Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince recently.
In the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) and Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazrouei, general manager of the authority, artist Guy Ferrer unveiled the nine-piece sculpture.

Gargash opens "Collectors from the Emirates" Posted on 01/12/2008
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed Anwar Gargash yesterday opened the "Collectors from the Emirates" exhibition of rare Swiss timepieces at the Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
The exhibition which runs to December 1st is held under the patronage of Minister of Public Works H.E Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

Musical on Zayed to celebrate National Day Posted on 19/11/2008
A musical play by Maestro Abdul Halim Caracalla will held to celebrate the UAE's 37th National Day in the capital, said an official.
The work, titled Zayed and the Dream, is the first of its kind artistic venture, said Mohammad Khalaf Al Mazroui, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, in a press statement.

HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak opened yesterday the artparis-Abu Dhabi 2008 - the Middle East's leading modern and contemporary art fair, at Emirates Palace Hotel.

Christina Aguilera, the Grammy award-winning singer, is scheduled to perform for the first time in the Middle East with a one-off concert at the Emirates Palace hotel in the capital next month.
