A nation-wide relief campaign to raise cash and material donations in support of Palestinians in Gaza has been announced yesterday by H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Red Crescent Authority (RCA) and Head of the Office of Coordination of Foreign Aid.

Two units of medics and Para-medics set up by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) is waiting for humanitarian access to Gaza to provide necessary treatment for Palestinian children targeted by the Israeli army.
RCA units are ready with all necessary equipments and medicines to save the lives of those who have been seriously wounded in the bombardment and artillery attacks by Israeli forces. RCA is coordinating with the UNICEF to carry out the humanitarian operations in Gaza.

Palestinians can legalise stay in UAE Posted on 06/01/2009
Palestinian nationals in the UAE can continue their stay and legalise their status in case their residency permits or visit visas have expired, a top official at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) told Khaleej Times on Monday.

UN delivers UAE relief to Gazans Posted on 05/01/2009
The United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have commenced delivering relief supplies offered by UAE to the people of Gaza.
The UAE President, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has instructed the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation to provide and distribute the humanitarian assistance through the two UN agencies.

Sana'a - A convoy of trucks carrying 115 tons of relief assistance, including food items, winter cloths, blankets and other essential items, has arrived in this Yemeni town of Seyun as part of a humanitarian programme launched by the UAE Red Crescent Authority to help alleviate the sufferings of the victims of the flood that hit Wadi Hadramaut in recent time.

Sana'a - The government and the people of Yemen hailed the generous gesture of UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who ordered to build a thousand homes for those who lost homes in the recent floods in Yemen.
The tropical storm and torrential rain which hit largely the eastern province of Hadhramawt earlier in October had caused extensive damage in the region. Hundreds of homes made of mud brick had collapsed in the flooding.
